Movement
They are comfortable when moving in water. On ice they slide with sleek bellies while pushing their feet. They walk by moving side to side as they move their feet. Emperor penguins are a flightless bird that does not fly. But on land they waddle like stiff-backed waiters or comically slide on their bellies for more than 60 miles to reach suitable breeding spots.
